The market town looks after and maintains two children's playgrounds.

The systems must be maintained on an ongoing basis (mowing, improving fall protection, repairing, etc.) and must also be regularly checked for damage.

Every year, all playground equipment is checked by a civil engineer to ensure that it complies with standards and is checked for damage.
